Kudos to the Cowboys and Angels Drill Team

We’re sending out a big congratulations to the Madison County 4-H Cowboys and Angels Drill Team for raising over $4,600 at the Clemson, South Carolina Walkabout Tour! The drill team is made up of riders 12 to 16 years of age who use the Method during their practices to train their horses. The dedicated group of horsemen was selected to run our Ritchie Ball Toss to raise funds for their 4-H drill team. All money raised throughout the event went directly to the Cowboys and Angels Drill Team.

“Our team members absolutely loved every minute of the tour! They learned so much from Clinton. They will never forget this weekend!” Julia Highsmith, a team leader for the Madison County 4-H Cowboys and Angels Drill Team says.

At each Walkabout Tour, we team up with our tour featured sponsor Ritchie Industries to select a local non-profit equine group to head up the Ritchie Ball Toss. Spectators purchase tennis balls from the non-profit organization for $5 throughout the weekend, and during the Ritchie Ball Toss held on Sunday of the event, throw them into the arena trying to be the closest to a pre-determined marker. Those closest to the marker receive Clinton’s instructional DVDs and Downunder Horsemanship training tools. If you have a non-profit organization and would like to apply to run the Ritchie Ball Toss at our upcoming tours, visit our website and fill out the application.
