Colt Starting Certification Clinic Underway

0802_03

On Sunday, Method Ambassadors looking to earn certification to start colts for the public arrived at the Downunder Horsemanship Ranch in Farmington, Arkansas. The 10 horsemen will spend 11 days learning from Professional Clinician Jeff Davis to hone their colt-starting skills and be evaluated.

The clinic got started on Monday and will continue through August 11th. Throughout the clinic, the ambassadors will train two colts and will be evaluated on their ability to introduce a saddle to a horse, safely put a first ride on a horse, and continue to build a horse’s confidence under saddle. Ambassadors who pass the evaluation will be certified to accept colts to start under saddle in their training programs.

To find a Method Ambassador who is certified to start colts, visit the certifiedclinician.com website. Individuals who have received the certification have a colt-starting badge on their profile.
