When Passion Leads to a Profession

I knew I made the right decision to become an Ambassador when I had an amazing experience with a new lesson client. She had seen my information on the Downunder Horsemanship website and had me out to do a private lesson. As soon as I stepped out of the car, she was so excited to meet me, show me her horse, and get feedback on her application of the Method. Her energy was contagious, and we had a great time practicing the Fundamentals and sharing our passion for horsemanship. She was so eager to learn and get better, and each time her horse responded positively to her adjustments, she would beam with excitement. When the lesson was over, she hugged me and told me what an amazing experience she had. That’s when I realized that above just training horses, being an Ambassador is a platform to genuinely help and inspire others. I had a client come to me who said she had a nervous, aggressive Arabian. She was at her wit’s end and said if I couldn’t fix him she was going to “move him down the road.” I took the Arabian in for six weeks and had him willing and calm by the end of the training session. When the owner came to see him, she was shocked. She later told me she can now safely turn him out to the pasture and not have him bolt or kick out at her. She is even planning on making him her new show horse. Seeing her able to enjoy the her horse and even plan a future with him, made me so glad I chose to become a Method Ambassador. – Miranda Stalnaker, Method Ambassador

I know I made the right decision to become an Ambassador almost every time I finish a lesson or clinic. I love helping clients become more black and white with their body language and it is so rewarding to see their faces light up when they have an aha moment. It is wonderful to help others develop a partnership full of respect and trust with their horses. Another inspiring moment is seeing clients canter when they haven’t been able to do so in years.
